Short, because there is little to tell
NumiAssist is designed to know as little about you as possible. This page describes everything the app and this website do with data – it fits on one page because that's all there is.

The summary
- Coin photos are sent to our server only when you ask for recognition suggestions. Our server handles them in memory and passes them to an external AI recognition service, which processes them under its own terms.
- There are no accounts – nothing to register, no profile to keep.
- There is no advertising and no tracking – no ad SDKs, no analytics profiles, no selling of anything to anyone.
- Payments are handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.
Your photos
The core of NumiAssist – capture, processing, lot assembly, export – runs entirely on your iPhone. Your photos live in the app on your device, under the protections iOS gives all app data.
One feature uses the network: recognition suggestions. Photos leave your device only when you send them from the recognition screen, and only the two you chose – one of each side of the coin. They travel over an encrypted connection to our server, which passes them to an external AI recognition service. The service reads the coin's visible attributes, and the suggestions come back to you.
These limits apply both to our server and to the external service:
- the photos arrive only when you send them, and only the two you chose;
- they are used only to recognize the coin and return suggestions to you;
- today they are not used to train models, either by us or by the external service. If that changes, it will only be with your explicit consent, through a separate setting in the app.
Where the two differ is storage. Today our server holds the photos in memory only for that one request: it doesn't write them to disk, doesn't log them and doesn't keep them after it answers. The external service may retain the photos under its own terms.
If you never tap the suggestions button, the app never makes that request – and works fully offline.
What we don't collect
The app has no accounts, so we hold no names, emails or passwords. We run no advertising and embed no third-party ad or tracking SDKs. We do not build profiles of you or your collection. Your lots, descriptions and photos stay on your device unless you export them yourself or send photos for recognition.
Storage, deletion and consent
What we keep. Our server doesn't keep recognition photos after it answers. We hold no copies of your lots, descriptions or photos: they exist only on your device, and you delete them yourself in the app. Like any request to numiassist.com, a recognition request leaves an entry in the web server's technical logs, described below under This website.
What the external service keeps. The external AI recognition service may retain the photos you sent under its own terms. We can't delete copies it holds.
Withdrawing consent. Before the first send, the app asks for your permission in a separate window: nothing is sent until you tap Allow. Your permission is saved on your device. To withdraw consent, turn off Send photos for recognition in Settings → Privacy: photos are no longer sent, and the app asks again before the next send. The rest of the app works without recognition. Withdrawing consent doesn't apply to photos you have already sent.

Subscriptions
The subscription and free trial are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. Apple's handling of that data is described in Apple's own privacy policy; we receive only anonymous confirmation that a subscription is active – never your identity or payment details.
This website
numiassist.com is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Like nearly every web server, ours keeps standard technical logs (IP address, time, requested page) for security and troubleshooting; they are rotated routinely and used for nothing else. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives the standard technical request data when the font files load.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new effective date; if a change is significant, we'll also mention it in the app's release notes in the App Store.
